Essie Missmatched and Haute as Hello

Today I was very happy when I received my delivery from The Boozyshop.
Unfortunately Essie Pretty Edge was completely sold out but I was lucky to order two colors I really liked! And I got it with a great discount!
As I've may have mentioned before Essie is probably one of the best nailpolish there is. Along with OPI these nailpolish are being used by professionals.
First up is Essie Missmatched: I was a little surprised cause the colour turned out to be a little lighter purple than I had expected. Still this is a great summer color, also the color purple is being seen a lot on the runways these days. I like this match this color with more nude and neutral clothing so it pops out a little more.
I'm not exactly a patient person, so putting on nailpolish is kind of a thing for me. Usually I mess up easily cause I simply forget after a while that the nailpolish has not been dry yet.
But what I like mostly about Essie and OPI is that it not only looks good but it's quickly dry!
I only made a picture so far of the Missmatched tone, soon I will post the NOTD Essie Haute as Hello. This color is more of a coral pink and I choose this color cause it looks pretty good with my olive skin. I'm very happy with the nailpolish, unfortunately Pretty Edge was not available anywhere so I think I will buy a green/mint color from OPI!



Btw; unfortunately my nails are this short cause my contact lenses can shred to pieces if my nails are too long!

Beautiful jewellery @ Nomination!

Truth be told: I had not heard about this Italian jewel brand before. But after seeing an advertising I decided to take a look. This Italian Florence based brand has an amazing collection!

They also have a e-shop but unfortunately they don't have ship to The Netherlands yet.
For those of you who live in the countries they do ship off to, consider yourself lucky!
But never the less this collection is worth mentioning. The prices in the collection start at €44.
Whether you want a necklace, bracelet or a beautful ring, you can shop by your budget.
Personally I like the butterfly collection. I've always had a thing for butterfly jewellery, and by the looks of this collection I seriously need to have something. I fell in love with those cute butterfly shaped earings with a glimpse of green. Also they sell another thing I really like: charms. Charms for a bracelet that is.

But next time I visit Milano, I'm definitly going to pay a visit to their store.

My personal favorite beauty products Part I

Cause there are so many great products, I want to share with you my favorite ones!
Have to say it changes every now and then, sometimes I add a new product to my collection I really like, but for the most part these products I use on a daily basis.

I would like to elaborate about some of the products. My most favorite daycream is Biotherm Aqua Source non-stop. Ever since I started using this cream I have better skin than ever.
My skin used to be very dry, but I was blown away by the result after using this cream.
Also MAC Lipglass comes in many amazing colours but what I most like about this lipgloss is that it stays! It survives eating, drinking basicly almost everything.
As you can see I mix high-end products with budget products. You can tell that the high end products are more sophisticated but not necessarily always better. It's just that the high-end products usually have the more expensive ingredients. Also I am a fan of budget products but ofcourse it depends on the quality. My favorite budget brands are NYX, Maybelline, Sephora and Bourjois.

Notebooks: for fun and thoughts!

One of my favorite things to do is to write. And for my study Writing & Editing I have to do a lot of writing, and I have a lot of inspiration. I keep journals and I have my personal notebooks. And whenever a inspiration catches my eye, I feel the need to write something about it. And that is why I absolutely love notebooks. And fortunately there are a lot of original and creative ones to buy! I will show you my personal ones, including my last buy.
In every chapter of My favorite notes you can explore more about yourself. Write which movies you like or what kind of cities you still would like to visit. Fun!


We all know and love the famous notebooks of Moleskine. People from all over the world fall in love with these black sophisticated notebooks. I really like them, especially the travel editions like Moleskine London, Milano, Florence, New York, Paris etc.


Another one I really like are the ones from She Journal, where every cover has a different oneliner. These notes have great texts like She listened to her heart above all other voices.
But I also like notebooks with great designs. Check out my personal notebook I bought in april 2010 on my vacation in Firenze (Florence, Italy).


This design is a typical Italian art design which is being sold for ages in Florence. I picked it out from a great this great store where they had hundreds of little notebooks! If you ever get the chance to go there, please visit the store cause it's the best!

Ik ben gek op notitieboekjes. Altijd al geweest. Ik houd er van om te schrijven omdat ik vaak tijdens onverwachte momenten ontzettend veel inspiratie op kan doen. Heerlijk om dan zo'n boekje bij de hand te hebben om vol te kladden. Maar wat voor boekjes, ik zet mijn persoonlijke favorieten voor je op een rijtje. Allereerst vind ik My favorite notes helemaal geweldig. Elk hoofdstuk begint met een vraag; wat zijn je favoriete films, welke landen wil je nog bezoeken etc. Ontzettend leuk!
En dan zijn er nog de She Journals. Deze vrolijk gekleurde boekjes zijn op de voorkant voorzien van een pakkende oneliner. Leukste vind ik wel She listened to her heart above all other voices. Maar ik houd vooral van notitieboekjes met een mooi en origineel ontwerp.
Tijdens mijn mini vakantie in Florence heb ik een prachtig typisch Italiaans papierwerk notitieboekje gekocht. Dit soort versierd papier bestaat al eeuwen in Florence, en ik kon het niet laten er geen eentje mee te nemen. Mocht je in Florence zijn, verlaat de stad dan niet zonder eentje te kopen in één van die schattige winkeltjes. Zelfs als schrijf je niet, het zijn ware collector's items. En daarnaast zijn er zoveel soorten.

I don't know if you are all familiar with the nailpolish brand Essie but I've known this fabulous brand for a couple of years.
